COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY Guidelines
Following Government guidance and national governing body recommendations, we’ve made some changes at Broadland Sports Club with additional safety measures in place. Your safety, and that of our team is our priority, so please follow the new guidelines and social distancing throughout the club to keep everyone safe.
We kindly ask if anyone has experienced any Covid-19 symptoms, or been in contact with someone who has, please do not enter the club for 14 days.

All guidelines have been sourced from UK Active, Swim England, England Squash, Badminton England, Table Tennis England and LTA.
We kindly ask if anyone has experienced any Covid-19 symptoms, or been in contact with someone who has, please do not enter the club for 14 days.
General Club Safety
- Please use the social distance queueing outside the main entrance until reception comes available.
- Face covering (face mask or sheild) are optional.
- Changing facilities and lockers will be open.
- Please follow the one-way system around the club where appropriate.
- When using the main corridor through the club, please keep social distancing.
- Throughout the club, staff will clean and sanitize on a regular basis including doors, handles, changing facilities and toilets.
- Hand sanitizer is available at reception, gym, dance studio and outside squash court 3. We kindly ask members to sanitize their hands upon entry and throughout the club when necessary.
- Booking will be required online or by phone before arriving at the club for swimming, racket sports and fitness classes. This can be done up to 8 days in advance.
- We currently have a limited gym capacity to allow social distancing.
- Always use the one-way system to enter and exit the gym.
- Equipment is spaced out to allow social distancing, please continue social distancing when using the free weights and in-between exercises.
- We kindly ask all gym users to wipe down equipment before and after use.
- Please bring a water bottle for refilling at water fountain.
- Ventilation will be maximized in the gym through air conditioning and opening windows, ensuring circulation of fresh air.
- Instructors will be available for social distanced inductions and programmes. Booking is essential via reception.
Swimming
- We currently have a limited capacity in the swimming pool to allow social distancing.
- Open sessions are now available with a maximum capacity of 16 people.
- The swimming pool will be sectioned into 4 lanes during lane swimming. Each lane can be booked in 30, 45 or 60 minute timeslots for individuals or groups up to 4.
- Locker keys are available if essential, we advise bags are kept on poolside at the end of your allocated lane.
- Showers are available if required
- Hair dryers are available.
- Sauna and steam room are open with a maximum capacity of 3 per room.
Fitness Classes
- All fitness classes need to be booked in advance, as classes have a reduced capacity.
- All classes will be separated by a minimum of 15 minutes to allow users to leave and equipment to be cleaned.
- We kindly ask all users to clean all equipment used before and after the class.
Squash
- All court bookings must be made online or by phone up to 8 days in advance.
- Bookings are for 45 minute sessions.
- Normal squash matches can be played.
- Players should wash and sanitize their hands before and after playing.
- No waiting or standing for long periods of time in the corridor.
- Bring your own water bottle.
- All court bookings must be made online up to 8 days in advance.
- Bookings are for a maximum of 50 minutes allowing 10 minutes change over.
Table Tennis
- All court bookings must be made online or via reception up to 8 days in advance.
